Team Philippines and team Australia's brawl at the FIBA qualifying round on Monday has been making headlines around the world that it did not slip under the radar of basketball fan Vice Ganda, who mentioned the incident in a segment of "It's Showtime."
In an interview with "Tawag Ng Tanghalan" contestant Rhea Velarde, the topic of fighting for someone was brought up. Rhea shared that she joined TNT because her husband was "gonged" in the competition.
This prompted Vice Ganda to relate Rhea's situation to what happened between team Philippines and team Australia at FIBA.
"So ginawa niyo lang 'yun dahil ipaglalaban niyo…
The comedian then asked Rhea how she will fight for her husband, joking, "Mambabato ka rin ba ng upuan?"
