“Coco Martin on his love life: ‘Puwede bang trabaho muna?’”

“Dati puro love life lang ako, wala akong trabaho,” said Coco Martin. “Ngayong nagkatrabaho na ako, at ang tagal kong hinintay ‘to, puwede bang trabaho muna?”

Coco has always been vocal about the ups and downs of his career and his personal life. With the success of his current TV series Ang Probinsyano, it’s fair to say that he is at a very good place right now. “Honestly, kapag tinatanong nila kung nahihirapan o napapagod ako, oo. Mahirap at nakakapagod, pero kapag gusto mo ‘yung ginagawa mo, hindi mo na nararamdaman ‘yun. ‘Yung passion, ‘yung everyday nae-excite ka gumising kasi alam mo na gusto mo ‘yung ginagawa mo? ‘Yun ang nagpapalakas sa amin na tama ‘yung ginagawa namin.”

Aside from being active in front of the camera and behind the scenes, Coco has also made several business investments for his family. “Meron akong piggery sa Pampanga, pero binigay ko ‘yun sa brother ko,” he said. He also got a salon franchise which he gave to his sister. “Gusto ko kasi, mai-ayos ko na ‘yung pamilya ko.”

Due to his busy schedule, he has no time left to go on dates. He admitted to putting his love life on the back burner, but that doesn’t mean his heart is wanting. “Puso ko? Masaya naman,” he declared. “Naranasan ko kasi ‘yung hirap ng buhay, kaya habang ay oportunidad ngayon, sinasagad ko na. Pagkatapos nito, hindi ko na mababalik ‘to.”

At 36 years old, Coco is exactly where he wants to be. His plans are laid out, and settling down in the future is part of it. “Kapag settled na ako at naka-ipon na ako, panghabang-buhay na ‘yan,” he says. Coco is hoping to settle down at the age of 40. “May 4 years pa. sasagarin ko na, tapos after that, sarili ko naman.”

“Mikey Bustos shares his top eight reasons why you should visit Taipei, Taiwan”

Popular comedian and YouTube personality Mikey Bustos said that one of the most colorful places he has visited in Asia is the foodie central of Taipei, Taiwan. During the recent Fun Taipei 2018 media launch held last July 3, Mikey shared with PUSH his top five reasons why Taipei should be on everyone’s travel bucket list.

8. The warm hospitality

“Every time I’ve been to Taiwan, the reception has been great. Even my friends who are not celebrities or anything, when they traveled there they loved it. We just had so much fun in Taipei.”

7. Fashion everywhere

“Their fashion district is amazing. They have all the luxury brands. If you’re a fan of luxury brands, go there because they have this thing called ‘babay’ sales. I didn’t know what that was at first, but it’s basically like clearance sale. So you get lots of good shopping and brands that are unique to Taipei, you can buy there too.”

6. Great cityscape

“I’m not really a fan of architecture, but when I went to Taipei I was like ‘Wow!’ The temples are great. You’ll see it in all of my vlogs. We vlog daily and I vlogged every single thing there so you guys can see!”

5. A different vibe

“It’s different there. It is not like Binondo or Chinatown here. There are lots of different vibes there. It’s not all the same everywhere. Like they have an old Taipei which is really cool. It’s old but it’s kind of like revamped, be kind of millennial, new. And they have that fashion district. The night market doesn’t feel Pinoy and it doesn’t even feel Fookien. It feels really different.”

4. Budget friendly travel

“My budget was like P15,000 to really enjoy but there are lots of places to really save also and I mean it’s affordable, it’s more affordable than some of the other Asian countries. Every time I’ve been there only three days and you can see a lot in three days.  We Filipinos like buffet because it’s mas sulit so there’s lots of that stuff in Taipei. All affordable surprisingly.”

3. All day shopping

“All of times of the day, from the time you wake up all the way until nighttime all the night markets are really great. There are amazing restaurants and buildings surprisingly. The markets are amazing, so good. Lots of shopping there, too. They have their version of Quiapo but different, Taipei version. I loved going there and buying pasalubong. If you’re a pasalubong freak and you’re going to get in trouble if you don’t buy pasalubong for your family so make a stop at the night market. It’s really nice.”

2. Instagram-friendly city

“For sure take the sightseeing bus because at the end they have this cool spot where you can take a selfie with Taipei 101. Night markets have really amazing lighting there surprisingly even though it’s dark. Amba hotels, great view especially if you get a room that has this amazing view of the city and it’s so artsy. There’s lots of great Instagram opportunities. And the temples—wow, amazing. Some of the best I’ve ever seen.”

1. Foodie paradise

“Oh it’s so hard to choose my favorites. I have to ask my stomach (laughs). The night market food, the street food iba. It’s so yummy. It’s kind of like a Taiwanese spin on our Pinoy street food. So there’s that, bubble tea, shaved ice, everything. For sure you should try the stinky tofu, it’s really good. Their chicken is yummy, the beef noodles are so good. I highly recommend Mala hotpot. I couldn’t believe it, there was so much and it’s buffet.”

“Netizen asks Kris Aquino – Mayor Herbert Bautista or Atty. Gideon Peña for a movie date?”

Kris Aquino's upcoming movie "I Love You Hater" is showing soon that fans are curious if who would she bring as her movie date to the opening day screening of the movie on July 11.

In an Instagram "Q & A" on Saturday, July 7, Kris was asked by a netizen to choose between the two guys who have been romantically linked to her. "Who would you choose for a movie date? Mayor Herbert or Atty. @the.mightywarrior (Gideon Peña)," the netizen wrote on her Instagram post.

Kris replied, "@the.mightywarrior definitely."

However, Kris clarified that the lawyer is not courting her when another netizen asked, "Nanliligaw po ba si atty. @the.mightywarrior sa inyo Ms. @krisaquino at may chance po ba siya sa puso niyo?"

Kris in response said, "No. He is easy to love and respect but I feel we are meant to remain friends."

The actress-host has been linked to the lawyer after their exchange of sweet quotes on Instagram recently. However, Kris has always maintained that Atty. Peña is just a friend.

“Coco Martin speaks up about Yassi Pressman and the ‘end’ of ‘Ang Probinsyano’”

“Ayoko nang palakihin, hindi naman totoo,” said Coco Martin about the recent video that showed him allegedly kissing his Ang Probinsiyano leading lady, Yassi Pressman. He maintained that there’s nothing to it, and charged it to people being drawn to their characters on the TV series. Coco chose to see it as a sign that Ang Probinsyano is still doing well. “Siguro natutuwa lang ‘yung mga fans. Natutuwa ako na kinikilig sila kasi siguro nadadala sila doon sa kwento.”

As a director, he is all praises for Yassi. “Si Yassi talaga magaling. Kailangan mo siyang i-guide, then after that, ibibigay niya sa ’yo ‘yung hinihingi mo.”

Coco has taken on huge responsibilities on the show. Not only is he its lead actor, he is also very active behind the scenes. For him, any success of the show is really a big win for himself as well. “Nakaka-inspire, nakakatuwa. Kuwento ko ‘yun e. Siyempre masarap sa pakiramdam, kasi ako din ang nag-didirect, nagsusulat.”

He assures the fans that there is still much to look forward to. “Napakahaba pa ng tatakbuhin ng kwento!” In fact, a lot of new characters are still being introduced, one of them being Jolo Revilla. Coco revealed that the Revilla family was one of the first who saw his talent. “Extra-extra pa lang ako, tapos sina Tita Lani at Tito Bong ang naka-discover sa akin. Ginawa akong main kontrabida ni Jolo sa isang pelikula niya sa Metro Manila Film Fest, ‘yung Agimat. So ngayon na ako naman ang may pagkakataon na bumawi, ako naman ‘yung lumapit kay Jolo na sana mag-guest siya sa show ko.”

There have been speculations that the show will be ending by early next year, but Coco debunked the rumor. “Wala pa talagang definite plan kung kailan siya matatapos,” he clarified. “Kapag naramdaman namin na wala na kaming kuwentong maibibigay, kailangan na naming tapusin. Pero hangga’t tinatangkilik pa siya ng mga tao, hanggga’t may maibiigay pa kaming kwento, hangga’t nakaka-inspire pa kami ng mga tao, nandiyan pa din ang Ang Probinsiyano.”
