Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Chief Justice Teresita De Castro gained “neutral” net satisfaction rating, results from the September 2018 Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed on Tuesday.
SWS said that Arroyo got a -4 satisfaction rating while De Castro received +4 satisfaction rating. It also defined a net satisfaction rating from +9 to -9 as “neutral.”
About 34 percent of Filipinos were satisfied and 38 percent were dissatisfied with Arroyo’s performance. Meanwhile, about 33 percent were satisfied and 29 percent were unhappy with De Castro’s performance.
The survey asked respondents on questions, such as “Maaari po bang pakisabi ninyo kung gaano kayo nasisiyahan o hindi nasisiyahan sa pagganap ng tungkulin ni [NAME] bilang [POSITION]?: Kayo ba ay lubos na nasisiyahan, medyo nasisiyahan, hindi tiyak kung nasisiyahan o hindi, medyo hindi nasisiyahan, lubos na hindi nasisiyahan, o wala pa kayong narinig o nabasa kahit na kailan tungkol kay [NAME]?”
(Please tell how satisfied or dissatisfied you are with the performance of [NAME] as [POSITION]? Are you very satisfied, somewhat satisfied, undecided if satisfied or dissatisfied, somewhat dissatisfied, very dissatisfied, or you have not ever heard or read anything about [NAME]?)
As many as 1,500 respondents with ages 18 years and above were interviewed for the survey conducted from Sept. 15 to 23. SWS said 600 were from “Balance Luzon” while 300 each were from Metro Manila, Visayas and Mindanao.
The third quarter of the 2018 SWS survey had a sampling error margin of ±3 percent for national percentages, ±4 percent for Balance Luzon and ±6 percent each for Metro Manila, Visayas and Mindanao./ac
